Andre Aciman, an American author, is known for his literary fiction and non-fiction works. Born in Egypt to a family of Turkish and Italian Jewish descent, he moved to the United States after living in Rome. Aciman holds a B.A. from Lehman College and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from Harvard University. He and his wife, Susan, have three sons.
