6 SeriesArthur William Upfield (1890-1964) was an English-Australian author best known for his Inspector Bonaparte detective series. He moved to Australia as a young man and served in the Australian military during World War I. Upfield's works, which drew on his extensive travels and knowledge of Aboriginal culture, remained popular posthumously and were adapted into the 1970s Australian television series "Boney."
