Blaize Clement (1932-2011) was an American author known for her Dixie Hemingway cozy mystery series, which her son, John Clement, continued after her passing. She also wrote a romance novel under the pseudonym Lee Silvey. Before her writing career, Clement studied at the University of Houston and Baylor University to become a clinical psychologist.

Blaize Clement, along with co-author John Clement, penned "The Cat Sitter's Cradle." Under the pseudonym Lee Silvey, she also wrote "Dance of the Moon Daughter." Both novels showcase Clement's versatility in storytelling. "The Cat Sitter's Cradle" intertwines mystery with the daily life of a pet sitter.
