Cinda Williams Chima is an American novelist known for her YA contemporary fantasy series, including The Heir Chronicles and the Seven Realms. She began writing in high school, resumed after her sons became teenagers, and draws inspiration from her grandmother's fortune-telling and Celtic beliefs. Chima holds a master’s degree and previously worked as a clinical dietitian in Cleveland.
