Daniel Clowes is an American author, screenwriter, and cartoonist who earned his BFA from the Pratt Institute in 1984. His first professional work was for Cracked from 1985 to 1989. In 1989, he launched his comic book Eightball, known for its diverse content ranging from humor and Freudian analysis to fairy tales and cultural criticism.
