Dean Ing is an American author known for his science fiction and techno-thriller novels. He began writing professionally in 1977 and has also worked as an aerospace engineer and a university professor. Ing, a U.S. Air Force veteran, resides with his wife in Oregon.

Dean Ing co-authored several novels with Mack Reynolds, including "Eternity," "Home, Sweet Home 2010 A.D.," "The Other Time," "Trojan Orbit," and "Deathwish World."
