Dorothy Dunnett (1923-2001) was a renowned Scottish author of historical fiction and mystery novels. She is best known for her Lymond Chronicles and its prequel, The House of Niccolo. Additionally, she authored the Johnson Johnson mystery series and the novel King Hereafter, which reimagines the story of Macbeth.
