Emily Franklin

Emily Franklin is an American author known for her YA romance novels. Her work has been featured in The Boston Globe, the Mississippi Review, and various anthologies. In addition to writing, she teaches and participates in panels, and resides outside of Boston with her family.

Emily Franklin, in collaboration with Brendan Halpin, authored "The Half-Life of Planets," "Jenna & Jonah's Fauxmance," and "Tessa Masterson Will Go to Prom." In "The Half-Life of Planets," two teens navigate life after a friend's sudden death. "Jenna & Jonah's Fauxmance" follows two actors who fake a romance to boost their show's ratings. "Tessa Masterson Will Go to Prom" explores a transgender teen's fight to attend prom with her girlfriend. Franklin also co-edited "Before" with Heather Swain.
