E.V. Cunningham is the pen name of American author Howard Fast (1914-2003). Under this pseudonym, he authored mystery and thriller novels, notably the Masao Masuto series. His novel "Penelope" was adapted into a film.

In "Alice" by E.V. Cunningham, John T. Camber's life changes irrevocably on a subway platform when an elderly man pleads for help before falling onto the tracks. Shocked, Camber flees but is soon attacked by a thug who believes he knows more about the incident. Camber finds himself entangled in a deadly conspiracy. As dangerous individuals pursue him, they threaten his daughter's safety as well. Camber must navigate this perilous situation to protect his family and unravel the mystery surrounding the老人's death.
