Griff Hosker

Griff Hosker is an English author known for his epic historical fiction series, including Sword of Cartimandua, Napoleonic Horseman, and Dragonheart. Originally from Lancashire, he worked as an English and Drama teacher for 35 years before transitioning to educational consultancy. After being forced out of work, he began writing, debuting with The Sword of Cartimandua, inspired by the Roman conquest.

In "Great Granny's Ghost" by Griff Hosker, Wayne, a troubled youth, is sent to live with an unfamiliar grandmother. After her death and facing bullying at school, Wayne feels isolated and miserable. A trip to Whitby introduces him to the ghost of his great-grandmother. This encounter marks a turning point, transforming his life for the better.
