Additionally, Clement authored "Widow Basquiat," a memoir detailing Jean-Michel Basquiat's relationship with his muse, Suzanne Mallouk.

In Jennifer Clement's "Prayers for the Stolen," Ladydi Garcia Martinez grows up in the dangerous mountains of Guerrero, Mexico, where drug lords reign and women must disguise their daughters to protect them from abduction.
