Over his 40-year career, he has written 250 TV and 250 BBC radio scripts, including the acclaimed King Street Junior, and bestselling children's books such as The Trenches and Roman Invasion. Since 2010, Eldridge has focused on historical crime novels, notably the Victorian-set Museum Mysteries and the WWII-focused DCI Edgar Saxe-Coburg series. He resides in Kent with his wife, Lynne.
