In "The Last Hostage," the first of John J. Nance's Kat Bronsky novels, fugitive pilot Ken Wolfe hijacks a 737 over the Rocky Mountains. He demands the arrest of an unprosecuted killer within 24 hours. New FBI agent Kat Bronsky is tasked with negotiating with Wolfe, whose fragile psyche she must navigate. As Bronsky delves deeper into Wolfe's motives, she begins to question the true identity of the victim. The fate of the plane and its passengers hangs in the balance.
