Julian Barnes is an acclaimed English author known for his numerous award-winning books. Born in Leicester, England, he studied modern languages at Magdalen College, Oxford, graduating with honors. Before dedicating himself to writing, Barnes worked as a lexicographer for the Oxford English Dictionary supplement, and held positions as a reviewer, literary editor, and television critic.
