Julian May
10 SeriesJulian May (1931-2017) was an American author known for her science fiction, fantasy, and horror novels, as well as children's and non-fiction books. She gained recognition with her series, the Saga of Pliocene Exile and the Galactic Milieu series. May began her writing career early, publishing a fanzine as a teenager and selling her first short story to Astounding Science Fiction.
Julian May, under the pseudonym Lee N. Falconer, authored "The Gazeteer of the Hyborian World of Conan." Writing as Ian Thorne, May penned several notable works including "Frankenstein," "Frankenstein Meets Wolfman," "Creature from the Black Lagoon," "The Blob," "The Deadly Mantis," "It Came from Outer Space," and "The Mummy." Additionally, May co-authored "Black Trillium" and "Golden Trillium" with Marion Zimmer Bradley and Andre Norton. These collaborations and pseudonymous works showcase May's versatility across genres and collaborative writing.
