Maile Meloy, an American author, specializes in fantasy, adventure, and literary fiction. Her short stories have appeared in The New Yorker and The Paris Review. She has received the Rosenthal Foundation Award, the John C. Zacharis Award for her collection Half in Love, the Aga Khan Prize for Fiction, and a Guggenheim Fellowship. Originally from Montana, she now lives in California.
