Her childhood as an army brat, living in places like Oklahoma, Austria, Florida, and North Carolina, inspired her adventurous writing style. She also served as President of the Authors Guild from 1993 to 1997.
Mary Pope Osborne co-authored "Jason and the Argonauts" with Will Osborne. She collaborated with Natalie Pope Boyce on "Games and Puzzles from the Tree House" and "The Random House Book of Bible Stories." The first eight Magic Tree House Fact Tracker books, up to "Dolphins and Sharks," were written with Will Osborne. Subsequent Fact Tracker books, starting with "Ancient Greece and the Olympics," were co-authored with Natalie Pope Boyce. The Magic Tree House non-fiction series was also developed with Natalie Pope Boyce.
