Michael Morris, an American author of Christian and Southern fiction, is a fifth-generation native of Perry, Florida. He holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Spalding University and won the Christy Award for Best First Novel with his debut, A Place Called Wiregrass. Morris resides in Alabama with his wife, Melanie.
