Michael Sears is an American author known for his financial thriller novels, including the Jason Stafford series. Before his writing career, he spent twenty years as a Managing Director on Wall Street, specializing in bonds, foreign exchange, and derivatives. In "Black Fridays," the first Jason Stafford novel by Michael Sears, Stafford, a former Wall Street insider fresh out of federal prison, is hired to investigate irregularities in the accounts of a junior trader found dead in Long Island Sound. Desperate to support his autistic son, Stafford accepts the lucrative but supposedly brief assignment. However, the job quickly escalates as he faces threats and more deaths, pulling him deeper into danger. Simultaneously, Stafford struggles to protect his son from a separate peril. This gripping narrative combines financial intrigue with personal stakes, challenging Stafford to navigate both worlds to ensure their survival.
