10 SeriesNoel Bertram Gerson (1914-1988) was a prolific American author known for his historical fiction and non-fiction, including biographies of notable figures such as Theodore Roosevelt and Mary Shelley. He also wrote Western fiction under the pseudonyms Donald Clayton Porter and Dana Fuller Ross. Two of his novels, "55 Days at Peking" and "The Naked Maja," were adapted into films.
Noel B. Gerson wrote under multiple pseudonyms, including Samuel Edwards for titles like "Devil's Prize" and "The White Plume," Donald Clayton Porter for "The White Indian" and "Pony Express," and Dana Fuller Ross for the "Wagons West" and "The Holts" series. Under the name Leon Phillips, he penned "The Fantastic Breed" and "Split Bamboo." Gerson co-authored "Sex and the Mature Man" with Louis P. Saxe and "Sex and the Adult Woman" with Ellen Birchall. Some of his works, such as "Mohawk Ladder" (also titled "Sword of Fortune") and "Savage Gentleman" (also titled "Savage Cavalier"), were published under different titles. Several other titles were re-released under the pseudonyms Samuel Edwards or Carter A. Vaughn.
