He holds a First Class Honours Degree in History from Liverpool University and a doctorate from Exeter College, Oxford, where his thesis focused on Edward II. Doherty also serves as the Headmaster of Trinity Catholic High School in Woodford Green, Essex, and writes under multiple pseudonyms including P.C. Doherty, Vanessa Alexander, and Michael Clynes.
Paul Doherty, under various pseudonyms, has authored multiple series and standalone novels.
