Peter May is a Scottish author known for his crime fiction, mystery, and thriller novels, including the China Thrillers and Enzo Files series. Before dedicating himself to writing novels, he was a successful journalist, winning Scotland's Young Journalist of the Year Award at age 21 and contributing to The Scotsman and the Glasgow Evening Times. May transitioned to television in 1978, creating several shows for the BBC and Scottish television.
