Peter Robinson

9 Series

Peter Robinson was an English-Canadian crime fiction author best known for his series featuring Inspector Alan Banks, a DCI in a fictional Yorkshire town. He moved to Canada in 1974 and occasionally taught crime writing at the University of Toronto.

In "Dry Bones That Dream," also known as "Final Account," Detective Alan Banks investigates the murder of a disgraced accountant. "Dead Right," published as "Blood at the Root," follows Banks as he uncovers a web of corruption linked to a seemingly straightforward hit-and-run. "The Summer That Never Was," also titled "Close to Home," sees Banks delving into a cold case that hits close to home. In "Caedmon's Song," known as "The First Cut," the narrative shifts to focus on a serial killer's connection to a young woman's past. Each novel showcases Peter Robinson's skill in weaving intricate plots with compelling character development.
