Richard House is an accomplished author known for his thriller and gay fiction novels. In addition to his writing, he is a filmmaker, artist, and university lecturer at Birmingham University in England. He also serves as the editor of the digital magazine Fatboy Review.

In "Uninvited" by Richard House, Ian Proctor, eager to escape his troubles, plans to leave London in four months. After following his friend Gordon to the city, Ian faces eviction from their squat and the loss of his part-time job. Meanwhile, Gordon is entangled in a failed scam. The looming threat of violence surrounds them, highlighted by a man thrown from a bus and the presence of dangerous thugs. Ian dreams of exotic destinations and financial freedom as he navigates his precarious situation.
