He is best recognized for the Spenser series, but also created the Jesse Stone, Sunny Randall, and Cole & Hitch series, along with several Philip Marlowe novels. Robert B. Parker completed "Poodle Springs" after Raymond Chandler's death left the novel unfinished. The Spenser series, starting with "Lullaby," is primarily written by Ace Atkins, except for "Silent Night," which was penned by Helen Brann. From "Killing the Blues" onward, the Jesse Stone series is authored by Michael Brandman, with the exception of "Blind Spot," written by Reed Farrel Coleman. The Cole & Hitch series, beginning with "Ironhorse," is written by Robert Knott. Each series continues to captivate readers with its distinct narrative style and compelling characters.
