Steve Allen

4 Series

Steve Allen (1921-2000) was an American author, comedian, and the first host of The Tonight Show. He also worked as a radio personality, musician, and composer. Allen wrote a series of mystery novels, featuring himself and his wife, Jayne Meadows, as amateur sleuths; these were ghostwritten by Walter J. Sheldon and later Robert Westbrook.

In "Murder in Vegas," the fifth installment of the Steve Allen Mysteries series, Steve Allen is rehearsing with legendary crooner Buddy Hamilton when he discovers that Buddy's young wife, Christie, has been strangled in a sauna. This shocking event sets the stage for a gripping mystery that Steve must unravel.
