6 Series

Trudi Canavan is an Australian fantasy author known for her Kyralia series, which includes the Black Magic and Traitor Spy trilogies, as well as the Age of the Five and Millennium’s Rule trilogies. She began her career in freelance graphic design in 1995 and contributed to the Australian fantasy and science fiction magazine, Aurealis. Canavan started writing her first novel at age 25, dedicating herself to honing her craft through courses and skill refinement.

In "Salt of the Earth" by Trudi Canavan, the Third Doctor and Jo Grant vacation at a salt lake in Australia in 2028. They discover grotesque statues carved from salt, filled with expressions of pain. These statues, left by unknown creators, deteriorate quickly in bad weather. The mystery deepens as the Doctor questions whether the statues are merely salt. "Salt of the Earth" is available as a standalone eBook or within the "Doctor Who: Time Trips" collection.
