Amy Tan

Amy Tan is an acclaimed American author known for her novel The Joy Luck Club, which explores the complexities of mother-daughter relationships in Chinese American families. She has also made a notable appearance on The Simpsons. Tan resides in California with her husband, Louis, whom she met on a blind date.

Amy Tan co-edited "The Best American Short Stories 1999" with Katrina Kenison. She also co-authored "Mid-Life Confidential: The Rock Bottom Remainders Tour America with Three Chords and an Attitude" alongside Dave Barry, Stephen King, Tabitha King, Barbara Kingsolver, and Ridley Pearson. The latter book chronicles the experiences of the Rock Bottom Remainders, a band composed of these authors, as they tour America.
