Andrew Welsh-Huggins

Andrew Welsh-Huggins is an American author known for his crime fiction novels, including the Andy Hayes series, and non-fiction books. He works as an editor and reporter for the Associated Press in Columbus. His short story, "The Murderous Type," won the 2017 Al Blanchard Award for best New England short crime fiction.

In "Fourth Down and Out," the first book in the Andy Hayes series, private investigator Andy Hayes is tasked with retrieving a laptop and erasing a compromising video. The assignment quickly escalates when his apartment is burgled, the laptop is stolen at gunpoint, and the FBI begins questioning him. Set in Columbus, this gripping narrative follows Andy as he navigates these dangerous and unexpected challenges.
