Anna Quindlen is an American author known for her women’s fiction, family sagas, and non-fiction books. She won the Pulitzer Prize for Commentary in 1992 for her New York Times column, Public and Private. Quindlen transitioned from journalism to full-time novel writing in 1995 and later contributed to Newsweek from 1999 to 2009. She is a vocal critic of materialism in American culture.

Anna Quindlen's "Good Dog. Stay." (also published as "Life with Beau: A Tale of a Dog and His Family") chronicles the life of her family's beloved dog, Beau. The narrative captures the joys and challenges of living with a loyal companion.
