4 Series

Colum McCann, an Irish-American author, began his career in journalism before transitioning to literary fiction. He has received numerous accolades, including the National Book Award, the International Dublin Impac Prize, and a Chevalier des Arts et Lettres from the French government. McCann, who also earned a Best Foreign Novel Award in China and an Oscar nomination, resides in New York with his wife, Alison, and their three children.

In "Songdogs" by Colum McCann, Conor Lyons embarks on a journey to trace his father's path, a nomadic photographer. Using fragmented memories and old photographs, Conor follows his father from war-torn Spain to the desolate landscapes of Mexico. It is there that his father meets and marries Conor's mother. The trail continues through the American West and ultimately leads back to Ireland. This poignant narrative explores themes of memory, family, and the search for identity.
