Donald Bain

Donald Bain (1935-2017) was an American author renowned for his mystery novels, notably co-authoring the "Murder, She Wrote" series with the fictional Jessica Fletcher. He also ghostwrote numerous books anonymously. Bain is survived by his wife, Renee Paley-Bain, two daughters—including author Laurie Bain Wilson—and four grandchildren.

Donald Bain co-authored the Murder, She Wrote series with Jessica Fletcher, collaborating with Renee Paley-Bain from "The Ghost and Mrs. Fletcher" to "Hook, Line and Murder." Additionally, Bain worked with Margaret Truman on the Capital Crimes series. "A Date with Murder" was written by Jon Land.
