Andrews, a Yorktown, Virginia native, studied English and drama at the University of Virginia and now resides in Reston, Virginia.
Donna Andrews co-edited multiple volumes in the Chesapeake Crimes anthology series. "Chesapeake Crimes II" was edited with Maria Lima, while "Chesapeake Crimes 3" was edited with Marcia Talley. Subsequent volumes, including "Chesapeake Crimes: They Had It Comin'," "Chesapeake Crimes: This Job is Murder!," "Homicidal Holidays," and "Chesapeake Crimes: Storm Warning," were co-edited with Barb Goffman and Marcia Talley.
