2 Series

Gerald Morris is an American author known for his fantasy novels for young adults and children, including the series The Squire’s Tales and The Knights’ Tales. He spent much of his childhood in Singapore as the child of Baptist missionaries. In addition to writing, Morris teaches theology and serves as a pastor. He and his wife Rebecca have three children.

In "The Squire's Tale," young Terence embarks on a quest to rescue a kidnapped princess, facing numerous challenges that test his bravery and wit. The tale, also known as "Squire Terence and the Maiden's Knight," follows Terence's journey from squire to knight. In "The Princess, the Crone, and the Dung-Cart Knight," also titled "Lady Sarah and the Dung-Cart Knight," Princess Sarah disguises herself to escape an unwanted marriage. She joins forces with a humble knight and an elderly woman, navigating through trials that lead to unexpected alliances and personal growth. Both stories weave themes of courage, identity, and transformation.
