Grady Hendrix is an American author, journalist, and screenwriter, best known for his 2014 horror novel, Horrorstor. He has contributed to publications such as Playboy Magazine and The New York Post, and served as a film critic for The New York Sun.

In Grady Hendrix's "My Best Friend's Exorcism," set in 1988, high school sophomores Abby and Gretchen, lifelong friends, experience a chilling turn after a night of skinny dipping. Something sinister possesses Gretchen, leading to bizarre incidents and a drastic change in her behavior. As unsettling events escalate, Abby investigates and uncovers a terrifying truth. The story culminates in Abby's desperate quest to save her friend, testing the strength of their bond against demonic forces. Can their friendship withstand the ultimate evil?
