
Nigel Tranter
11 SeriesNigel Tranter (1909-2000) was a Scottish historian and prolific author, best known for his historical fiction and non-fiction works focusing on Scottish history and castles. He also wrote adventure, western, and children's novels, as well as travel books. Tranter served in the Royal Artillery during World War II.
