5 Series

Jack Lynch, a University of Washington journalism graduate, worked as a reporter in Seattle, Iowa, and Kansas before joining the San Francisco Chronicle. After leaving the newspaper, he authored the eight Peter Bragg novels, which reflected aspects of his own life. Lynch received two Shamus and one Edgar nomination for his work, inspiring many future crime writers. He passed away in 2008 at the age of 78.

In "Wolf House," the final installment of the Peter Bragg series, a killer is burying victims at Jack London State Park. Maribeth, a shy psychic, alerts private investigator Peter Bragg, fearing she may be next. Bragg collaborates with a local sheriff's detective to uncover a connection between the victims. A crucial discovery sends Bragg racing back to the park to prevent the murder Maribeth dreads most.
