Justin Cronin is an American author known for his horror and science fiction works. He has received the PEN/Hemingway Award, the Stephen Crane Prize, and the Whiting Writer’s Award. His vampire-themed Passage trilogy has been optioned by Fox 2000.

Justin Cronin's debut novel, "Mary and O'Neil," was published in 2001. His subsequent works include "The Summer Guest" (2004), a poignant exploration of love and loss; "The Passage" (2010), a dystopian epic about a viral outbreak turning humans into vampires; and its sequels, "The Twelve" (2012) and "The City of Mirrors" (2016), which continue the saga. Cronin's novels often delve into themes of human connection and survival against overwhelming odds.
