
Lester Dent
10 SeriesLester Dent (1904-1959) was an American pulp fiction author, best known for his contributions to the Doc Savage series under the pseudonym Kenneth Robeson. Initially trained as a telegrapher, Dent transitioned to writing after noticing the lucrative income of pulp magazine writers. He began his writing career with Dell Publishing, later moving to Street and Smith Publications, where he crafted the adventures of Doc Savage, earning between $500 and $750 per novel.
Lester Dent's works have undergone various title changes for their Bantam re-releases: "Ost" was retitled "The Magic Island," "Repel" became "The Deadly Dwarf," "According to Plan of a One-Eyed Mystic" was shortened to "One-Eyed Mystic," and "Violent Night" was renamed "The Hate Genius." Additionally, "The Spook Legion" was also published as "The Ghost Legion." The collection "Radio Western Adventures" includes a bonus story by Donald F. Glut.
