Her father, Rupert, seeks her out, but Julia rebuffs him due to his hasty remarriage after her mother's death. When Rupert goes missing, Julia's new stepmother alerts her, prompting Julia to investigate with the help of Rupert's charming assistant, Michael Sedgwick. Together, they uncover a complex web of deceit and murder. This is the first installment in the Birds of a Feather Mysteries series.
