Peter Lovesey, also known as Peter Lear, has authored several novels under both names. "The Tick of Death," alternatively titled "Invitation to a Dynamite Party," is one of his works. Under the pseudonym Peter Lear, he wrote "Goldengirl," "Spider Girl," and "The Secret of Spandau," with "Spider Girl" later re-released as "In Suspense" under his real name. "On the Edge" was also published as "Dead Gorgeous." "A Dead Giveaway" includes contributions from other authors such as Clare Curzon, Gillian Linscott, Dorothy Simpson, and Margaret Yorke.
