Deacon Marbury, leading the group, enlists outside help, but the aid comes in the form of Brother Timon, a man with a violent past and hidden loyalties working against the translation. As the body count rises, Brother Timon grapples with his allegiances amidst the escalating crisis. Ancient secrets threatening core Christian beliefs are uncovered, adding to the tension and danger surrounding the scholars' mission.
