Richard Condon (1915-1996) was an American author renowned for his satirical and thriller novels, most notably The Manchurian Candidate. He also authored the Prizzi series. Before his writing career, Condon served in the U.S. Merchant Marines and worked as a press agent for the Walt Disney Company.
