Rita Lakin

Lakin is a recipient of the Mystery Writers of America Edgar Allan Poe Award.

Expecting a dull vacation without boys, Ruth's experience turns eventful. She learns about her absent father, observes the lives of her mother and other lonely women at the hotel, and interacts with Abe, the resort owner's son. Additionally, Ruth encounters a 16-year-old whose life experiences are profound. Originally out of print, the novel has been reissued in eBook format.
