Roxane Gay is an American author, professor, commentator, and editor whose work has been featured in the Oxford American, McSweeney’s, and the New York Times. She holds a PhD in Rhetoric and Technical Communication from Michigan Technological University and has served as an assistant professor at Eastern Illinois University and an associate professor at Purdue University in the creative writing department. Her writing career gained significant momentum during her time at Purdue.
