1 Series

Steve Burrows, an English-Canadian author, is known for his Birder Murder Mysteries series. A dedicated birdwatcher, he has pursued this hobby on six continents. He holds an English degree from York University and has served as an editor for the Hong Kong Bird Watching Society Magazine and as a contributing field editor for Asian Geographic. Burrows resides in Oshawa, Ontario, with his family.

In "A Siege of Bitterns," the first Birder Murder Mystery by Steve Burrows, Inspector Domenic Jejeune is reassigned to Saltmarsh, a prime birding location in Norfolk. Despite his success as a detective, Jejeune's true passion is birdwatching, not policing. His two worlds collide when he investigates the murder of an ecological activist, theorizing that a feud over birdwatching lists may be the motive. As the case progresses, a second murder complicates matters, and Jejeune must navigate public acclaim, colleague mistrust, and his own insecurities to solve the Saltmarsh birder murders.
