
Tony Hillerman
6 SeriesTony Hillerman (1925-2008) was an American author renowned for his Leaphorn and Chee detective series, which focuses on Native American and Southwestern themes. Several of his novels, including The Dark Wind, Skinwalkers, Coyote Waits, and A Thief of Time, were adapted into films. Hillerman also authored standalone novels, children's books, non-fiction, and photo books. His legacy continues through his daughter, Anne Hillerman, who has continued the Leaphorn and Chee series.
Anne Hillerman continues the Leaphorn & Chee series, beginning with "Spider Woman's Daughter." Tony Hillerman, the original author, also co-edited "The Best American Mystery Stories of the Century" with Otto Penzler. Additionally, he collaborated with Rosemary Herbert on "The Oxford Book of American Detective Stories" and "A New Omnibus of Crime."
