Alexandre Dumas (1802-1870) was a prolific French author renowned for his historical fiction and adventure novels, including "The Three Musketeers" and "The Count of Monte Cristo." His works have been adapted into over 200 films and translated into more than 100 languages. Dumas was also a playwright and the father of Alexandre Dumas, fils, another notable author and playwright.

Alexandre Dumas's novels often have varying publication dates and titles, such as "The Conspirators," also known as "The Chevalier d'Harmental." "The Vicomte de Bragelonne," or "Ten Years Later," is frequently divided into three parts: "The Vicomte de Bragelonne," "Louise de la Valliere," and the well-known "The Man in the Iron Mask." Readers should be aware that many of Dumas's works are released in multiple volumes.
