Dusty Richards

Dusty Richards is an American author known for his western novels, including the Byrnes Family Ranch and The Brandiron series. He draws inspiration from his Arizona upbringing, infusing his stories with the region's distinctive landscapes. In addition to his writing, Richards is a rancher, rodeo announcer, and former TV anchor.

Dusty Richards collaborates with Ralph Compton on the Trail Drive series and the novel North to the Salt Fork. In the Trail Drive series, readers follow the perilous journeys of cattle drives across the American West. North to the Salt Fork focuses on a rancher's struggle to save his herd during a harsh winter. Additionally, Richards co-authors Two Foxy Holiday Hens and One Big Rooster with Peggy Fielding and Jackie King, a light-hearted tale centered around holiday festivities and romance.
