Heather Fawcett is a Canadian author known for her YA fantasy series, Even the Darkest Stars. Before her writing career, she worked as an archaeologist, technical writer, and theatre assistant. She holds a Master’s degree in English Literature and resides on Vancouver Island, British Columbia.

In "The Language of Ghosts" by Heather Fawcett, ex-princess Noa Marchena is exiled on an enchanted, moving island. Her goals are to reclaim her family's throne and prevent her older brother, Julian, from being corrupted by his dark powers.
